Circular Economy Switzerland is increasingly focusing on members

News-Sustainability-Today

Bern – Circular Economy Switzerland (CES) is strengthening its structure as an association. The circular economy movement wants to become more visible through its members. A coordination office will take over the role previously performed by the CES office at ecos in Basel.

Circular Economy Switzerland wants to get closer to its members. The Circular Economy Movement, which was launched in 2019 and has been organized as an association since 2020, is therefore adapting its structure. Existing cooperation partners can become members of the association, as can all companies, organizations and private individuals who want to promote the circular economy in Switzerland.

A coordination office is currently being set up in Bern, according to a press release. It will take over the tasks previously performed by the CES office at ecos in Basel. Interim CES President Philipp Rufer thanks the “CES team at ecos for building up and supporting CES with great commitment and passion”.

A General Meeting on March 19 will now formally approve the changes. The existing nine-member Executive Board will also be partially renewed.

The General Assembly will take place on the fringes of the 2nd Berner Anwenderforum Kreislaufwirtschaft, which is being organized by the Department of Economics at Bern University of Applied Sciences together with the Smart City Verein Bern. An alliance for the circular economy in the canton of Bern is also to be founded at the user forum. ce/stk
