Zurich – Johannes Pitterle takes over the management of Madaster. The platform for circular economy in real estate has also made new appointments to the Board of Directors: Pablo van den Bosch takes over as Chairman of the Board. Professor Jürgen Marc Volm is the new member.

Madaster Switzerland has appointed Johannes Pitterle as its new CEO. According to a media release now published, he will represent the company together with Marco Sutter and Sidney Frey since August 2023.

Johannes Pitterle gained experience in project and lean management at Implenia and Drees & Sommer. Most recently, he was a senior partner at the consulting firm refine schweiz. The civil engineer is quoted as saying that he is looking forward to getting involved in the public debate on CO2, the circular economy and ESG.

With his work he wants to contribute to more understanding of the added value of documentation and registration of buildings and infrastructures. “This is the only way we can act in a resource-conserving way and contribute to the decarbonization of the Swiss real estate park.” Madaster, as the platform for circular economy in real estate, is an “ideal tool” for this purpose.

Madaster announces two new additions to the Board of Directors: Pablo van den Bosch succeeds Chairman and ex-SwissRe manager Rolf Krummenacher. And Professor Jürgen Marc Volm joins the committee as a new member.

Van den Bosch highlights Johannes Pitterle’s strong roots within the Swiss construction and real estate industry. In addition, he said, his background as an engineer and his international experience are “ideally suited to develop Madaster and help the industry become competitive and high quality in terms of CO2 reduction and circular economy.” ce/heg
