Château-d’Oex VD – The Votre Cercle de Vie construction project is now open to the public. At the same time, the initiators are approaching foundations and institutions to secure funding. The project aims to redefine the farm of the future on 20 hectares.
The Votre Cercle de Vie project has entered the next phase. Following the submission of the planning application in November, the documents are now available to the public at the municipal administration of Château-d’Oex until March 10, according to a press release. The initiators around Esther and Nicolas Mottier have also organized two information events in the municipality. An updated three-dimensional animation also presents the project.
At the same time, the initiators are approaching foundations and institutions to secure funding. A further round of crowdfunding is planned.
Votre Cercle de Vie wants to redefine the farm of the future. Two buildings surrounded by organic gardens are to be built on 20 hectares of agricultural land, combining agriculture, naturopathy and tourism in a sustainable way.
The six-storey main building will house the farm, a restaurant, hotel rooms, a natural wellness area, the biogas plant and stables. The reception, an organic food store, a practice for general medicine and naturopathy, conference rooms and dormitories are planned for the adjoining building. Both buildings are to be constructed with as little environmental impact as possible and mainly with materials from natural and regional sources.
According to the initiators, the project has already involved 15 years of preparation and 37,000 hours of work by 700 participants. ce/stk
