News-Sustainability-Today

Langnau i.E./Bern – The Vögeli printing company is one of the pioneers of recyclable packaging worldwide. Its solutions are Cradle to Cradle Gold certified and are used for packaging food, textiles and cosmetics, for example. Vögeli is now exhibiting them at EMPACK in Bern.

The European Union is forcing packaging suppliers in Europe to make their solutions sustainable through regulatory requirements. In future, it is likely to go one step further and stipulate that packaging must be recyclable.

The Vögeli print shop already offers such packaging today. The world’s first print shop to be certified according to the strict Cradle to Cradle Certified Gold standard is already producing packaging that is free from harmful substances and fully recyclable.

This packaging is already being used by suppliers of high-quality products. The Grisons-based sausage producer Alpahirt, for example, sells its dried meat in cardboard packaging from Vögeli. The Emmental print shop also supplied the recyclable packaging for Calida ‘s recyclable pyjamas. Washo AG in Baar sells its shower care products in Vögeli packaging, as does Lanz Natur AG for its Lanur cosmetics line.

Vögeli is also represented at EMPACK, which takes place on 24. and January 25 at the Bernexpo. The print shop not only presents recyclable product packaging, mailing bags and mailing packaging. Thanks to a variety of printing techniques, Vögeli also offers the option of incorporating packaging into suppliers’ marketing and campaigning. This can also include inserts and flyers with flower seeds. ce/stk
