Zurich – The Zurich-based mobility provider Urban Connect has won the SBB as a partner. On its app, employees of companies throughout Switzerland can now not only reserve e-cars, e-scooters and e-bikes and book a company parking space, but also buy tickets for trains, buses or streetcars.
Urban Connect now also offers its corporate customers throughout Switzerland an integrated public transport service. To this end, the Zurich-based mobility provider has entered into a strategic partnership with SBB, according to its media release. Now, employees of corporate customers can use the app to make reservations for electric cars, e-scooters and e-bikes, book a parking space on company premises and buy tickets for trains, buses or streetcars.
According to Urban Connect, the core of this offering is an integrated online platform that bundles various mobility offerings as a mobility-as-a-service. All these services can be booked for both private and business purposes.
SBB services are also available under the new mobility budget. Corporate customers there have the option of providing their employees with a monthly credit that they can use for the means of transportation of their choice. This is key to saving costs and emissions in fleet management, Urban Connect said.
In addition, the mobility budget promotes the use of climate-friendly means of transport, thus helping to reduce the size of the vehicle fleet. “For us,” said Urban Connect co-founder Judith Häberli, “the new partnership with SBB is a game changer that will provide businesses with a future-focused mobility solution while helping them allocate mobility resources more efficiently, save costs, reduce emissions and provide end users with a seamless user experience.” ce/mm
