The Green Mountain wins another PETA Vegan Food Award

Landquart GR/Schaan – The Green Mountaion’s vegan pepper medallion has won a PETA Vegan Food Award 2023. Last year, the vegan chicken fillet from the Grisons-based start-up, which belongs to Liechtenstein-based Hilcona AG, won a PETA Vegan Food Award.

The Green Mountain ‘s plant-based pepper medallion has won the 2023 PETA Vegan Food Award in the Best Vegan Meat category, the Grisons-based startup, which is part of Liechtenstein-based Hilcona AG, informs in a statement. “With the Plant-Based Pepper Medallion, The Green Mountain shows in an exemplary way that enjoyable and purely plant-based taste creations are possible at any time,” Harald Ullmann, 2nd chairman of PETA Germany, is quoted there. “We hope that many more companies and brands will follow this forward-looking example and make their offerings vegan as well.”

The Green Mountain describes its vegan pepper medallion as a “gourmet sensation” that comes “raw and finely peppered” and can be prepared medium or well done. Last year, The Green Mountain had already won a PETA Vegan Food Award in the Best Vegan Chicken Fillet category. “After winning last year with our chicken breast, we now receive another award from PETA Germany for our uniquely good pepper medallion,” explains The Green Mountain general manager Werner Ott. “This shows us once again that we are on the right track with our manufacture.” hs
