Aarau – Swissgrid has published its first report on the company’s commitment to sustainability. It is anchored in the 2027 strategy. The operator of the Swiss transmission grid focuses on the fields of action Purpose, People, Partnership and Planet.
Swissgrid has published its first sustainability report. In it, the operator of the Swiss transmission system provides information on 14 material topics identified on the basis of a materiality analysis in accordance with the standards of the Global Reporting Initiative. In its Strategy 2027, Swissgrid has placed a focus on Corporate Social & Environmental Responsibility.
In its commitment to sustainability, Swissgrid is focusing on the four fields of action Purpose, People, Partnership and Planet, the company informs in a press release on its sustainability report. The report is structured according to these four fields of action. In a materiality matrix, the 14 topics identified with the analysis are assigned to the individual fields of action.
These topics include tasks already established in the company, such as supply security, occupational safety or health protection, the statement says. In addition, however, areas were defined in which Swissgrid intends to strengthen its commitment in the future. The network operator lists biodiversity and environmental protection as well as recycling management, material efficiency and resource conservation as examples. ce/hs
