Dübendorf ZH – SV Switzerland has successfully completed the Swiss Triple Impact (STI) program and has been included in the STI list. With this step, the gastronomy company has simultaneously set itself four further tasks to fulfill the UN Agenda 2030 and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

SV Switzerland, which the company says is the nation’s largest provider of innovative and sustainable solutions in employee and school catering, has successfully mastered the criteria of the Swiss Triple Impact program and has been added to the STI list, according to a SV Group media release. The food service company is thus purposefully continuing its sustainability-oriented policy in relation to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the UN Agenda 2030. SV Switzerland oriented itself towards environmentally friendly business practices at an early stage in its history with the Ecological Compass in 1987.

With the current entry in the STI list, SV Switzerland has set itself four further ambitious goals, according to the statement. For example, CO2 emissions are to be reduced by 17 percent this year compared to 2018. The share of food from ecological, social and ethical production is to be increased to 30 percent by 2030. At the same time, SV Schweiz wants to cut food waste by half. All employees are trained in this sense. With these measures, SV Switzerland is facing up to its responsibility towards the environment and people and is focused on sustainability in the entire value chain, explains Yvonne Wicki, Managing Director of the SV Group’s community catering business. eb
