Zug – SUSI Partners has sold inland wind farms built in France and Finland. With the sale of a total of six wind farms, the Zug-based investment manager has sold 60 percent of its SUSI Renewable Energy Fund II.

(CONNECT) Zug-based investment manager SUSI Partners has sold a total of six inland wind farms from its portfolio in France and Finland. According to a press release, the transaction was part of the sale of the SUSI Renewable Energy Fund II (SREF II), 60 percent of which has now found new owners in Europe.

The wind farms in France and Finland have a total capacity of 80 megawatts and generate 223 gigawatt hours of electricity per year. This corresponds to the demand of 60,000 households and at the same time the avoidance of 275,000 tons of CO2 emissions.

The three French wind farms were taken over by the Brussels-based infrastructure manager Watts Green. The Finnish portfolios went to the local operator Locus Energy.

SUSI launched SREF II in 2014 and created a mixed portfolio of solar and wind power plants. The company purchased various plants in Europe and put them to commercial use. In cooperation with service providers for the commercial and technical monitoring of the plants, SUSI guaranteed protection against losses and stable profits through long-term power purchase agreements, according to the press release.

With the current sale of the French and Finnish investments, the company was able to sell 60 percent of SREF II “while securing an attractive return for SUSI’s institutional clients and their beneficiaries”. ce/ww
