Bäch SZ – For epeaswitzerland, the most successful year to date is drawing to a close. The accredited assessor for Cradle to Cradle Certified certifications has received numerous awards. For Albin Kälin and his team, this is an incentive to promote the circular economy even more in the future.
Albin Kälin has every reason to look back on 2022 with satisfaction. He himself and epeaswitzerland, which he founded in 2009, have been literally showered with international awards. Ten times, he and his team received recognition for their commitment to the circular economy along with an award.
Kälin himself was named Best CEO of the Year by the publications “M&A Today”, “Global 100” and “Lawyer International” respectively. “CEO Today Europe” named him Leader of the Year in the Manufacturing category. At the CEO Awards of “Business Worldwide Magazine”, Kälin was honored twice, as the most innovative CEO in the global textile industry and for his leadership role as well as his contribution to sustainable production processes. And the business magazine “Fortunes Crown” also honored Kälin as one of the most inspiring CEOs of the year.
In the cover story that “Fortunes Crown” dedicated to Kälin, he took a look at the future. After 25 years of being considered a rebel and facing corresponding headwinds, he now feels a boost from the recognition of the recent past: “Tailwinds mean you can move faster and use less energy to do so,” Kälin said. Instead of resting on its laurels as the year drew to a close, epeaswitzerland completely overhauled its website, focusing on the network of trust created through numerous projects with around 1,000 partner companies, including supply chains. Thus, the successful work of epeaswitzerland is to be continued in the coming year with an even broader foundation. jh
