Kaiseraugst AG – Solvias has been awarded an EcoVadis badge for its commitment to sustainability for the first time. The biotech company ranks in the upper range of more than 100,000 evaluated companies.
(CONNECT) Solvias has been awarded a Comitted badge by EcoVadis. According to a press release, the Kaiseraugst-based global provider of analytics for chemistry, manufacturing and control is in the top tier of more than 100,000 companies evaluated by the agency. The award is based on Solvias’ commitment “to embedding environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles into its core business activities”, according to the press release.
With the ESG initiative launched in 2024, Solvias has made rapid progress in building a strong sustainability framework. With a five-year plan already launched, Solvias is steadily moving towards the overall sustainable development of the company. Continuous improvement initiatives, higher ratings and measurable contributions are already part of Solvias’ sustainability strategy.
To reduce its environmental impact and further accelerate sustainability, Solvias has also calculated its carbon footprint and set clear sustainability targets. As a next step, Solvias announces that it will align its business activities with the approach of the Science Based Targets initiative.
“Our first EcoVadis assessment is an important milestone that confirms our progress and sharpens our focus on effective change,” CEO Archie Cullen is quoted as saying. ce/heg
