Dietikon ZH – The logistics company Planzer is now using appropriate motifs on its trucks to draw attention to the SolarStratos project. The solar-electric aircraft from Switzerland is expected to fly in the stratosphere for 15 minutes.

Raphaël Domjan has big goals with his SolarStratos project, according to a statement from logistics company Planzer. According to the report, Domjan aims to set a new altitude record for solar-powered aircraft with the solar-electric-powered aircraft, “significantly” surpassing the previous best of 9235 meters. Planzer also said that the goal of sailing in the stratosphere, “for 15 minutes with nothing but solar energy,” is a new record.

The Dietiker logistics company informs in a message on Facebook that it now supports SolarStratos. “Because Switzerland should recognize: Technologies with solar and electric energy take us humans high up and help shape the environment and mobility of tomorrow,” it says.
