Lucerne – Luzerner Kantonalbank (LUKB) is calling for applications for its 2023 Future Prize. Sustainable projects from the Lucerne economic region are sought. It is providing 150,000 Swiss francs for the three winners.

Luzerner Kantonalbank is again offering a Future Award in 2023. Three sustainable projects from the Lucerne economic region will be awarded prizes. The winning project will receive up to 75,000 Swiss francs, the second-place project up to 50,000 Swiss francs and the third-place project a maximum of 25,000 Swiss francs.

“We received a very positive response to the first edition of the LUKB Future Prize and are therefore not making any significant changes to the way it is carried out,” Marketing and Sponsorship Manager Antoinette Stocker is quoted as saying in a media release. Interested parties can apply by March 31. After the application deadline, an advisory board consisting of three LUKB employees and an external expert makes a preliminary selection. Finally, a public vote on the Internet determines the three winners.

According to the call for entries, the projects submitted must promote sustainable development in the canton of Lucerne or raise the awareness of the population for a sustainable approach to the environment and society. Among other things, a binding schedule is required on the application. An award-winning project must start within twelve months and show initial impact within 24 months. mm
