Bern/Cham ZG – The three companies Bolliger & Co, Gartenpflanzen Daepp and RWB Groupe have been nominated for this year’s Family Business Award. This is the twelfth time that the award, which is sponsored by AMAG, has honored particularly sustainable and value-oriented family businesses.
The jury of the Family Business Award 2023 has announced the three finalists. They are Bolliger & Co, Gartenpflanzen Daepp and RWB Groupe. The winning company will be chosen on September 13 at a gala in the Kursaal in Bern.
This year, for the twelfth time, the award honors particularly sustainable and value-oriented family businesses. It is donated by the car dealer AMAG from Cham in memory of the company founder Walter Haefner. The award is intended to promote the mindset, values and commitment of family businesses and to underscore their importance for the Swiss economy.
The company Bolliger specializes in channels. Their offer includes their inspection and cleaning, as well as recycling of road mop and sludge. The family business has been active in the Mittelland Espace region since 1970 and is in its third generation, with locations in Grenchen SO and Aarberg BE.
Gartenpflanzen Daepp in Münsingen BE can already look back on five generations in its company history. The first Daepp nursery was founded in 1875. In 1936, a family member took over the nursery in Münsingen. In 2018, it was named nursery of the year in the entire German-speaking region by the gardening magazine TASPO. The jury thus honored the then new concept of the first adventure nursery with the largest garden center in Bern.
RWB Groupe, based in Porrentruy JU, has been active in engineering since 1938. It employs a multidisciplinary team of more than 180 people at a total of 17 locations. “Thinking up, implementing and designing sustainable living spaces for people and the environment” is what RWB calls an “exciting challenge.” ce/mm
