
Opfikon ZH – Implenia has been awarded Gold status in the EcoVadis Sustainability Rating for the second time in succession. This puts the construction and real estate company from Glatttal among the most sustainable 5 percent of all companies evaluated by the rating company worldwide.
Implenia has also been awarded Gold level certification by EcoVadis in 2023. This puts the Opfikon-based construction and real estate company among the top 5 percent of all companies worldwide assessed by EcoVadis for sustainability for the second year in a row, Implenia explains in a CommunicationAccording to her, EcoVadis is the largest provider of sustainability rankings and has screened more than 100,000 companies from over 175 countries worldwide for sustainability.
“The renewed gold rating from EcoVadis confirms our commitment to sustainability,” Anita Eckardt is quoted as saying in the release. The Chair of Implenia’s Sustainability Committee is delighted to see her company among the leaders in the industry. “More and more public and private customers are attaching importance to a good EcoVadis rating when awarding projects,” explains Eckardt. “Particularly in the areas of environment and labor and human rights, our standards, our Health & Safety processes and our Code of Conduct were again rated very highly.” In the area of ethics, Implenia had made further improvements compared with the previous year by raising internal awareness of compliance and transparent reporting.
Implenia aims to achieve twelve sustainability targets it has set itself by 2025. According to its Sustainability Report 2022 published in April, the company is well on track. ce/hs
