Winterthur/Paris – Autoneum has been awarded the gold medal by EcoVadis for its sustainability. This puts the automotive supplier in the top 5 percent of companies rated worldwide. Last year, the company was awarded the silver medal.

Autoneum Holding Ltd has been awarded the gold medal in the EcoVadis Sustainability Rating 2023. This puts the Winterthur-based global market leader in automotive acoustic and thermal management among the top 5 percent of the companies assessed.

Following a silver medal in the previous year, the company was able to further improve in the categories of sustainable procurement and ethics, but above all in the areas of the environment and labor and human rights, according to its press release. It has now achieved the second-highest level of recognition from the globally recognized rating agency for corporate sustainability. Since it was founded in 2007, EcoVadis says it has assessed the sustainability performance of more than 100,000 companies from 175 countries.

“The recognition is proof of our continuous efforts to improve Autoneum’s sustainability performance in all business areas,” said Pascaline Brégeon, Head of Strategy and Sustainability at Autoneum. The company is aware of its corporate responsibility to “mitigate the effects of climate change and conserve natural resources”. This is also reflected in the commitment to global initiatives such as Science Based Targets and the UN Global Compact. ce/mm
