Olten SO/Paris – The Solothurn-based company EAO has been awarded a silver medal by EcoVadis, a global provider of sustainability assessments. The specialist for industrial HMI components has been able to improve its overall rating since the last EcoVadis report.

EcoVadis has awarded EAO a silver medal. The Paris-based global provider of sustainability assessments thus honors the Olten-based company’s performance in this regard. A silver medal indicates that the evaluated company is in the top 25 percent of all companies with a total score between 56 and 66 out of 100. Platinum goes to the top 1 percent, and gold goes to the top 5 percent.

According to the global specialist for control elements used in industrial user interfaces between man and machine, the company takes its responsibility for integrating social and ecological aspects into its business processes seriously. For this reason, it had submitted to the EcoVadis assessment process. This reviews strategies and measures as well as documentation relating to the environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.

Since EcoVadis’ last sustainability report, EAO’s overall score has reportedly increased “thanks to the implementation of additional strategies and measures.” “EAO continues to move in this direction and strives for continuous improvement in sustainability.” Its strategy called Green Toch represents a fundamental part of EAO’s corporate policy, it said. ce/mm
