Geneva/Dubai – Deasyl Swiss from Geneva and Lootah Biofuels from Dubai have entered into a strategic partnership. Their collaboration aims to advance the development of low-carbon biofuels and methods for utilizing glycerine.
Deasyl Swiss and Lootah Biofuels announced a strategic partnership in Abu Dhabi during ADIPEC 2023, the world’s largest event for the energy industry. Both companies signed a letter of intent which, according to a press release, marks the first step towards a joint venture.
Deasyl identifies, develops and licenses novel chemicals and chemical processes that represent an alternative to environmentally harmful processes. They can be used by large petrochemical and fine chemical companies. Lootah Biofuels specializes in the production of biofuels from cooking oil.
The cooperation between the two aims to drive forward the development of low-CO2 biofuels and ways to utilize glycerine. According to the press release, Deasyl’s expertise and patented solutions will play a key role in this.
